VOID-FILL
Void Fill is a single component, non-combustible, aerated cement. Supplied as a powder, it readily forms a foamed grout on mixing with water in a purpose designed place.
USES:
Void Fill can be used for general void filling and the construction of lightweight barriers and bulkheads. Typical applications of Void Fill are for void filling above closed-off arches in tunnel drives or after rockfalls. Lightweight barriers for ventilation control are also easily constructed using Void Fill, or barriers to prevent air-flow to underground fires.
ADVANTAGES:
-
High yield improves material handling logistics and cost.
-
Rapid placement reduces man shifts – typically 60𝑚3 void filled per shift.
-
Remote placement can take place up to 200m from machine.
-
Typically 3 people per crew.
-
Non-flammable, non-toxic
